Hi you all,
as many St. Pauli supporters living in the UK also follow other English football teams, I thought, the following could be interesting for this message board as well:
presumably you've heard of the latest news that the Premier League is intending to introduce a 39th matchday/game every season that should be played overseas.
Another step of English football authorities towards further devaluating English football supporters and let money rule every little part of the game...
There are lots of protest actions going on in England at the moment to tackle this issue and more and bigger actions of protests are currently being planned. For example, the Football Supporters Federation FSF is running an online-petition and planning further protest actions and regional action meetings taking place on the local level.More than 8,000 people have signed the petition within the first 3 days.

I think this could be the time to finally get a bigger protest movement started amongst football supporters in England apart from local actions.
The football authorities should finally see that English football fans bail out and that it's not apathy that rules -
we should bring the spirit of the St. Pauli movement to English football as politics in football have always been about having a say and make use of means of protest to make changes.
The more football supporters can be activated, the more powerful every protest action can be towards the football governing bodies. This affects English Premier League supporters as well as those that follow lower league teams - they might be the next ones that have to deal with the issue...
Of course, I know that there are so many issues that have been going wrong for a long time in English football and should be tackeled but better to make use of this opportunity and start something now than never...?!
