Me and a couple of mates are coming over for this one. Anyone hazard a guess when the DFB will be announcing the final batch of fixtures?

Reluctant to book flights until we know for sure. Looking at coming Friday and going home Sunday night, but the dreaded prospect of a Monday night game hangs over us!

Hopefully, they'll be sufficient descent at the 1860 München game that they won't want to show us on telly again!!!!

Having looked at the fixture list, I'd put money on the Monday game being 1860 - Freiburg. But don't take that as being an offer to reimburse you if it isn't. Wink

This waiting for the precise date of games is a real pain in the butt....

Can't commit to the St Pauli v Freiburg game until I know it isn't on the Friday night. Fucking crazy! Mad

It does my head in too Brick wall

Just re-read my initial post, I think I meant dissent. Embarassed

i.e. hopefully the Ultras will cook up some kind of protest against moving games for TV - which will in-turn upset the sponsors and keep us out of any more Monday games!!!

Can you be booked for descent as well as dissent? Hmmn.

Descent? Rather harsh to book anyone on the grounds of their ancestry!

On the other hand, plenty of (mostly Premiership level) players seem to regularly 'descend' to the ground for no apparent reason, usually after no physical contact with any opposing player then proceed to writhe around in the sort of feigned agony that many a thespian could only hope to emulate.
As for getting booked for it...................not bloody often enough I say!

Im also planning to go to the Aue game. It may not be any use to you Nico 4 (as I assume you're Watford way) but Lufthansa have started flights from Brum direct to Hamburg. They've got a flight going back on the Tuesday morning which gets you back to Brum by 7:45 am. For me, it'll mean I can actually make the office by 9am on the Tuesday morning, but even with your extended journey it might mean only a half day holiday extra if you wanted to cover all eventualities and extend your trip. Or Lufthansa mightve started another route from London way. Oh and its the cheap Lufthansa - my flight was only £77.

Im umming and ahhing about where to buy my ticket for. Nordkurve at €30 or Sudkurve at €45? Obviously the Sudkurve one would mean being directly above the USP which might ensure a better atmosphere but then is it worth an extra tenner?

Anyone been in both (even better in their current form)?

Brum might be an option. We were looking at the Stansted-Lubeck option, due to the times i.e. we can be out for the Friday game in plenty of time and can also get back to Lubeck for the flight home on the Sunday.

But... One of my mates who is coming lives in Northfield, Brum whilst the other is coming from Cardiff, so flying out of Birmingham would be much more sensible. I'll have a look at the times.

Might be good to meet up in Hamburg for a drink? Let us know nearer the time. I already owe Zim a beer, from a while back. Embarassed

Will still hold off until the game is confirmed.

Yeah I'd definitely consider it. Don't know whether you're a Luebeck regular but even with the bus, its still a pain in the @rse. Flybe are the other ones from Brum although they dont have that early flight.

Yeah I'd definitely be up for meeting before/after. Got to come down from the wilds of Schleswig Holstein on the day but it should be easy enough to arrange.

Any ideas on whether you're more likely to go north or south stand?

Why don't you contact Heiko at the Fanladen? You might be able to get on the terraces............

I emailed the Fanladen a while back, and Stefan reckoned we should be okay for tickets, hopefully in the Gegengerade - so, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Would be worth you asking the question...

Good view of the Ultras choreo from the Gegengerade, plus a great atmosphere last time we were out there.

Wasnt too sure whether that was what Heiko's tickets were for. Thought maybe that was more for when people were coming over but no more tickets remained on sale.

Obviously I'd much rather go on the terrace than sit down. Do you reckon that would be alright then?

The Fanladen's policy is to try and make a certain number of tickets available for overseas visitors - more the committed supporters rather than those on a Hamburg stag weekend!

Check out the Fanladen thread above.

I don't know if one can request specific areas anymore, though. There was a time when you could ONLY obtain tickets for the Gegengerade terracing, which was alright by me!!

Help!

Our game is scheduled for the Friday night at 18.00 which is fine... but we were planning to go down to Dortmund on the Sat to watch them... however there game is also scheduled for the Friday night.

That leaves us with 3 options, a Saturday trip to either:

Hertha Berlin
Shalke 04 or
Werder Bremen?

Any tips, suggestions on which would be the best to go to? My gut reaction is Shalke, but couldn't find info on getting tickets on their website. Never been to Berlin, so that would be fantastic (as a city) but I have zero knowledge about Hertha. Then there's Bremen, who seem to play god football with lots of goals.

Any help/advice gratefuly recieved. We'll be flying to Hamburg Friday then going by train to wherever. Bit gutted about missing Dortmund, as I *really* wanted to stand on that terrace!

Cheers

Nick
