Warsteiner
Schneider Weisse
Duvel

I suppose I'll have to get rid of that last one having learned the truth about Duvel in another thread. Sad

She uses two F's in her Graf (Steffi Graff). No, I'm not named after her, but I get that a lot. Razz

My mother's maiden name is Graf (she's German), and that is aparently some royal peerage (meaning count, I think) and she didn't want that to be lost in her marriage to my Jewish-American father, so she made it my first name, and the middle names of my siblings.

Don't. It's not true apparently.

Osjusko or Karlovaco, two fine Croatian lagers I have to sample every year in Split visiting the Outlaws.
Kaltenberg is also worth a try as it's brewed to Germen standards and drank by an Irishman's standards"wet and cold"

Drank a fair bit of Osjusko when I was in Zagreb a few years ago. Very refreshing on a hot day when sitting at a pavement cafe (being observed by the secret police? Wink )

are you sure about Warsteiner? taste is something very personal, but Warsteiner is really one of the rather crappy (boring, low complexity) beers in Germany, not just in my opinion.
Did you ever try East-European beers? loads of good ones from that region when it comes to complexity and uniqueness.

Timothy Taylor's Landlord - top pint!

Although a few micro-brewerie in Prague, Munich and Burton had some superb ale.

Not forgetting the Porterhouse brewery in Ireland!
