What time/day is everyone arriving in Hamburg as I'd like to put faces to names from here?

Let's get some sort of meeting sorted out. We're available Friday night, when oor London pals arrive, however, we'll be bladdered by then. Saturday possibly best idea.

Anyone?

Pat - we found a great bar by the Fischmarkt called the Riverside Five last time we were there that was hosting a Northern Soul weekender. I couldn't belive my luck. Well worth checking it out!

In fact the second Hamburg weekender is planned for October

I always find the Treff is a good and aptly named place to meet

Rog and I fly in to Hamburg late on Friday so meeting on the Saturday might be a nice idea. The usual haunts tend to be the Treff, the Eck and Fred's, though Udo has promised to lead us to the seething "pit" known as the Clochard!!!! Sad

I don't own a mobile phone but I believe some of the others might.

Why don't you PM one of us with a contact number and arrangements can be made nearer the time. You never know we might even persuade Zim to join us for a small libation!!! Wink

John x

PS: I'll do a roll-call soon so we know just whose going to be around that weekend.

Yes, I think that might be possible. Smile

Cheers Chris looks to be about 5 mins away from where we are staying. Will attempt to herd the folks in for a nosey around.

If there is any meet up I'll not put my name down, due to being a follower of michellepetitmaids philosophy of never passing 3 bars without going into 1, so I'd never make it. Will probably go into the bars behind the Nordtribune post match and the fanladden before I may run into people there.

I'm sure it was mentioned on another thread that it had been knocked down recently?

There's always the St Pauli Treff - Zim's local - or my favourite spot, the insane Der Clochard...

Der Clochard.

Where grizzled old metallers shout at you menacingly and 1. FC Union Berlin fans shave eachother's hair after the match.

The soundtrack: For Whom The Bell Tolls by Metallica!

I'm there dude!

Cool. Sounds like the decisive vote to me. We must check for the "charity tree stump" and bang some nails in while we're still vaguely sober...
