I just discovered today that from 6 June Ryanair will be increasing the frequency of their Edinburgh to Bremen flights. In addition to the existing Wed and Sunday flights they will be operating on Friday and Monday, making them far more useful for next season. The only thing is that the Friday flight arrives in Bremen at 15.05. Even allowing for the stereotypical efficiency of the German baggage handlers, does anyone who has taken this route know if getting to the Millerntor for a 6.00pm kick off is realistic?

Travelling with cabin luggage only is the clever way to go. Smile The tram (Linie 6) goes from outside the terminal to Bremen HBF, journey takes approx. 15 minutes. The train to Hamburg HBF takes about an hour ..... so you could just about make it in time for kick off. I'm testing the route from Bremen on Sunday. ....
