Hello, CK here, was introduced to this forum by a Tottenham fan I know.
My club is DC United and I am a member of La Barra Brava, a supporters group for the club. I've followed the Bundesliga for a while and couldn't figure out who to follow. Then I discovered the culture of Sankt Pauli and knew I found a club I identified with.
Not sure what else to say, I love football and hope to have some nice discussion on here. |

Well, started in 1996 with the founding of the club. In the early days was small and latin influenced and over time has grown to take up several sections and has diverse membership now. We have English and Spanish chants, drums, flags and banners. Here's a video of the group with some music put over it.

I'm in there waving a red flag at the beginning and then in the break at 1:46 you can hear us better. It's all about the spirit of the game we all love and supporting our club through thick and thin. We meet up about 2-3 hours before in Lot 8 and eat a talk and play around and then head in.
Here's another video and shows a Barra tradition, the concourse drum circle. Think of it like a mosh pit at HT and after the match in the concourses.

Journalist from Sports Illustrated that hates our game visited us, here's a picture from the magazine.
EDIT: I guess there is an image size limit here as it keeps cutting it in half. |
