Are you going to watch the Blyth game in the Ship on Saturday? I'll be there.

Meantime Brewery (based at Greenwich and mentioned elswhere by our very own aliceb) brew a dark lager for Sainsbury's 'Taste the Difference' own brand. My Head of Dept. bought me a pack of 4 bottles as a thank you for my shit hot value added in last year's exam results. Best performing school in Sunderland no less and a lead school for Science Shocked . Generous man.... Wink

Alice and Les' quasi-complimentary comments are well deserved; the Meantime Brewery is based in the Union Tavern on Royal Hill. It was a regular late night stop off on the way home for a pint of chocolate ale when I lived above the market. Heavier than proper cocoa, and percentage points higher than your regular "full-strength" lagers it was the perfect nightcap to help you sleep through the 3am rush of pissed up clubbers and the 5am crash of market traders...

To be honest you'd not make a habit of drinking it in quantity though unless you wanted your companions to roll you home down the hill.
