I've not spoken to anyone about this yet - but it occurred to me this could be a good opportunity for a wee get-together for those of us in Scotland and the north-east of Englandshire (and those of you from further afield too if you fancy the trip). The game's at Easter Road on the Saturday afternoon. The more glamourous option would be Hibs v Barca at Murrayfield, but that's on a Thursday evening (24th Jul) so less opportunity for the hours of drinking beer and talking shite that really should accompany such an event.

Anybody fancy it?

Leaving for warmer climes on the 2nd August so that's out but might fancy the thursday evening game. Could be there anytime in the afternoon for an early start! Wink

Another alternative might be Henning Wehn's 1000 Years of Germany Comedy Show at the Festival. I caught the Beginner's Guide to German Comedy last year and found it quite an education.

I saw this guy at a comedy night in Darlington about two and a half years ago, he was ok , quite abeginner as I was told by his colleagues. Shame that he got some stick from english guys as they were stupidly making rather racist comments and shouting over him... Sad

I d like to know what he s doing now.

I first saw his show at a small venue in the Fringe 2 years ago. While it was very funny in parts you would have to say the delivery was a bit hit and miss. But fast forward 12 months and while much of the material was similar the delivery was spot on, and in front of much larger audiences. Details of his activities can be found at Henning's Blog

It was nice to see a bit of anti Burnley, anti BNP stuff on there too. On the strength of his show I got hold of a DVD, but the humour does not come across nearly as well. There are quite a few clips available on Youtube if you are interested. Henning is a Bochum fan by the way.
