I believe Stefan is the new Heiko and this is the email address he gave when he joined the board. Having said that

usually does the trick for me.

PS: I've just sent him a PM because Sir Roger has still not heard from the Fanladen

Just got this from Stefan:

"Hi John.
Should be no problem. I tried to answer all requests in the last days - we had our summer break, so many things are waiting to be worked through. Maybe I missed an e-mail... best would be to just write me another mail with the ticket request to

I will answer tomorrow! And at the moment there are plenty of tickets left...
cheers
Stefan"

I have now requested six tickets for the following:

Waddock
Sir Roger
Geordieles
Maid Michelle
Udo
EDINBURGH

We will have to meet at the Fanladen before 4pm.

Have I missed anyone?

With all the shit I've gone through in the past two months I've decided to make a holiday of it and have just booked myself into the lovely hotel Pacific from the Thursday to the Monday.

So if anyone arrives/leaves outside of match day, is at a loose end and wants to come and eat ice-cream in the stunning Japanese Garden and watch the Madchen go by give me a bell... I suppose I might be able to manage the odd beer too.

I'm staying at the less salubrious Altan Hotel from Thursday through Sunday.
Sometime around Friday lunchtime could be an ice cream interlude...
I'm meeting Roge and John for a few late beers after checking in on the Thursday evening. They're staying at the Stern. I'll give you a bell.

Very cool to see that a whole lot is coming over for the Osnabrück game. I will also be in Hamburg for the game. Put on a post here where the pre-game meet-up takes place.

Also, for those of you staying in Hamburg the entire weekend: On Saturday, 16th of August, St.Pauli's reserve is playing at home against VfL 93.

I am also over for this match, on the early morning flight from Stansted. Where are you all meeting up afterwards?

I suggested the Treff straight after the game then on to the Eck for the rest of Friday night.
Apparently priorly we're meeting very late on Thursday night for a couple of beers (venue tbc by mobile) then icecream in the Japanese garden of the Pacific Hotel at lunchtime Friday (Udo's suggestion), Fanladen before 4pm on Friday to collect tickets then somewhere for a beer before the game - again venue tbc.
Any other suggestions?
I would be up for watching the reserves on Saturday.

I see it's World Astra Day on Saturday. What does this entail? (obviously drinking many bottles of lager, but anything else?). The blurb says bands and events and 100,000 visitors. Is it worth visiting? Is it possible to avoid it? Is there a link I can look at? Who else is going? Sorry for all the questions....

my humble opinion: too many people, too much broken glass on the ground, overpriced beer. It's directly at the Landungsbrücken, so check it out if you like but don't expect too much.

On reflection, when I was over for the Werder Bremen Reserves home game in August 2006 a couple of the guys in the Treff mentioned going down to this event - but in the end only a couple went down, the rest of us stayed to get hammered in the Treff instead.
See you guys on Friday?

See you Thursday I hope. I'll get Rog to phone you when we get to Stern's.

I quite fancy the Amateurs game on the Saturday but I'm happy to drop into the Astra Festival for a small libation!!

Looking forward to it - will bring my "matchlock" (and my arschlok for that matter).

I get into Lubeck at 8:40pm local time. I'll head straight for my hotel to check in and text Udo once that's accomplished. I'll await a call from Rog.
Just off to watch West Allotment Celtic in ten minutes, it's pissing down but I think that this could be a cracker of a game if it isn't called off!
See you tomorrow. keep your powder dry! Wink
