Given that this has a 6pm Friday ko date, getting a cheap flight is proving very difficult. Any ideas?

Easiest is Newcastle to Hamburg via Heathrow out on 14th back on the 16th which is c£250! Shocked
I don't have any work restrictions but need to keep costs down. Overnight stays in hotels in the UK eat up the differentials in the flight costs.

Any advice gratefully accepted.

Newcastle to Hannover. Its only an hour from Hannover to Hamburg on the train.

I have flown this route via HLX who I think are rebranded as Tui.

I've checked out both of these alternatives already. The 'add-ons' push the price up, eg getting to and from Edinburgh, Bremen to Hamburg and back, etc. For example the return flight to Hannover from Newcastle is £144, return train fare to Hamburg? About 60-70 euros? Also the flight gets in at 11.50pm which I'm guessing presents a problem with accomodation. I'm not whinging, just having to do some calculations regarding the cash situation. This is why I'm relying on you guys for any additional advice/info.
BTW Heiko suggested the Ncle - Hannover route ages ago.
I'll keep juggling the numbers....

Did you check out any flights to Berlin? there are a lot of people from Berlin who come over for every match, so maybe u could get a seat in one of their cars? if you find any flights that would suit u I could ask in the Berlin forum if anyone could take you to HH.

Hows about going via Dublin from Newcastle with Ryaniar? Out Thursday back Saturday.

Flights from Dublin to Newcastle return are £24.98 before you add on check in fee.

Flights from Dublin to Lubeck return are 106 Euros before you add on check in fee.

Return bus from Lubeck to Hamburg costs about 16 euro.

The times work out ok althouh a couple of hous handing about DUblin airport.

Another option would be to fly out from Leeds/Bradford to Lübeck. Operator is Jet 2.com.

However, you would need to book a flight on Thursday and the return flight for Sunday.

Just booked Ryanair on the morning of Fri 15th Aug from Stansted - £9.99 including tax which is a result. However I am concerned about ticket availability this season. I have noticed that the club have been selling season tickets for Block S1 and S3 which were always good for tickets last season when it opened. Suspect they may be all season ticket holders in there this season. Does anyone know the availability of single match tickets available online this season and when the Osnabruck tickets will be available?

Just some general info: they don't sell more season tickets than last year, so same chance for single match tickets as last season. And there is always the Fanladen with some tickets for supporters from other countries, the single match tickets on the south stand etc. so I wouldn't worry too much.

I know it's early days but can I tentatively suggest post-match inquest in the Treff straight after the game followed by mexicanas Shocked in the Eck?

@Waddock, Sir Roger and Udo I'll text as soon as I'm in Hamburg on the Thursday night to arrange immediate beers.
Wa-hoo!
My intervening holiday in Ibiza can't compare can it? Wink

@mmp, contact Stefan by email at the Fanladen and he'll keep you a ticket. They're wonderful people.

Hi - have had an email from the ticket office today advising me to go to the fanladen when I asked if they were doing online sales - so looks as if it must be sold out.

What email address should I contact for the fanladen to get a ticket? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
