It's a sunny day and I'm sitting in the back garden with my laptop on my knee enjoying an ice cold bottle of Warsteiner Premium Verum ABV 4.8%. It's paler than a lot of Czech pilsners, the head is thick but short lived. The hop aroma comes straight through on the nose and makes a first impression in the mouth too. The taste gives faint lemon and vanilla but no sweetness. The hops are pronounced but balanced by a light malt flavour. Astro is right that this isn't a complex beer but we tend to chill out any subtlety present by serving it so cold, which is fair enough. Nothing to get excited about admittedly but a decent Czech style pils with a pleasant malty taste and a fair hint of hops.
Over to Udo and his can of Red Stripe?
