What are your expectations for your team in the season to come?

I for one will be hugely disappointed if Bristol Rovers do not go one better in the FA Cup and reach the semi-final.

Blyth Spartans to get to the Conference (no chance)
Newcastle Benfield BP to have another cup run (maybe)
Cadiz to get to the play-offs in Segunda B (maybe) then back up to Segunda A (unlikely)
Universidad de Chile to beat Colo Colo (always - never forget)
NUFC to sack Barton (won't happen)
FC St Pauli ( midtable obscurity, great days out, comrades, drink, laughs and purpose)

Hearts not to finish in the bottom six. (Good start yesterday)
Carlisle Utd to get in a play off position. (Good start yesterday, sorry dear Rovers fans) Wink
Watched St Pauli in the Murrayfield Bar in Edinburgh on Friday night with a few of the Edinburgh area lads. The game was bad and I think we might struggle Crying or Very sad . Hope I'm wrong.

Celtic - SPL title (finishing any lower this season is frankly unthinkable), at least the last 16 in the Champs League (a tough ask, but not impossible. 3rd in group and a decent run in UEFA wouldn't be a disaster).

Aber Town - Qualify for Europe for the first time in a few seasons (Not impossible but they need to find a bit of coonsistency for a change).

St Pauli - Mid-table security with a late and ultimately futile tilt towards a promotion spot to give us all some excitement (based on Friday we may be struggling - but it's only one game so I'll reserve judgement for now).

Tranmere- To disappoint as normal and miss out on the play-offs..again

Canterbury City-To win Kent County Div.1 East...

Ramsgate- To consolidate Ryman Premier League place and finish above Margate again...

St Pauli-Mid table finish, anything else an unexpected bonus..

FC United of Manchester - squeeze past Nantwich in the FA Cup but then crash out the round after. Finish above mid-table but miss out on the play-offs in the league by a good month. Make the final of the Northern League Challenge Cup.

Manchester United FC - get pipped to the post by Chelsea in the league, make the semis of the European Cup, win the FA Cup, get knocked out of the League Cup by a decent hard working side whose great day will be completely ruined by it inadvertantly giving Nick Hancock an appearance on the tele (his only gig outside of Morrissons adverts being to harp on about his hatred of some team called "Man-yew")

FC St Pauli - start brightly, collapse, get us all worried, get good, get really good, secure their current status, start us talking about them mounting a late challenge and then give up. Meanwhile we'll all have an ace time whether watching it at the Millerntor, on the internet or just chatting about it on here.

Leicester City to bounce straight back up ,

Drogheda Utd to retain their League title,

St Pauli to give us all something to shout about!

Bury - Promotion to League One (well, things are definitely looking up - we're already 33 points ahead of Luton!)**

St Pauli - Mid table safety

Rayo Vallecano - To survive in the Segunda (after only just scraping promotion in the play-offs) but probably finishing in the 'bottom half.'

** Seriously though..... When are the FA going to start to target individuals guilty of misdemeanours rather than 'punishing' (ultimately) the fans?

Celtic - SPL title for the 4th year in a row and a decent run in Europe

St Pauli - Mid-table would be excellent, but hopefully even higher! Wink

i'll go out on a limb and say i think Man U or Chelsea will win the league and Arsenal and Liverpool will occupy 3rd and 4th place, then it will be either Everton, Spurs, Newcastle Aston Villa or Blackburn, then the usual suspects will be mid table and the 3 promoted plus Wigan and Fulham, will be fighting it out at the bottom,

is it just me or is the PL just too boring for words these days??

as for my teams -

Derby, couldn't care a less really, be nice if they stayed up

St Pauli on the other hand i do care, think the most we can hope for is staying up, and i think we will achieve this.

St Pauli - I think they will be 6 or 7 this year!
Vålerenga - About the same place as St Pauli, but they will win the Norwegian Championshop and play in europe next year!

Liverpool (who I've supported since 1970). Yep 3rd or 4th. Yep boring, I know. I´'ll content meself with a few Euro away trips ...IF we qualify that is ! (get your money on Standard Liege folks, not cos I think they´ll get through, but because at odds of 9-1 I certainly think they have a better chance than that to qualify)

Tranmere (where I used to go a lot from 1972-about 87, cos some of me school mates & their dads did). About 15th

AFC Liverpool (who I really believe in). Promoted, maybe not as champions though ?

St. Pauli (whose AF supporters I love). Achieve mathematical safety only on the last day.

iLFC (the Liverpool supporters team that I've played for for 4 years) - will disintegrate under a new manager, and I'll go off in a huff and start something else.

Republica Internationale (my AntiFascist Leeds Sunday team) will challenge for the UEFA zone, in so far as the Leeds Sunday Premier Division has such a notional entity ....

Blackpool (my partner Claire's team) will never again achieve the heady heights of 3rd (which they were before kick off on the 9th August ... on alphabetical merit ....)

Similarly Doncaster (Claire's other team cos her grandad was quite a famous player for them) definitely have enough good footy in them to stay up ... but maybe not the squad depth ?

Derby to stay up... Shocked

...but if we do go down to take the forest with us! Very Happy

A cup draw against Newcastle would be nice too... man, they were BAD last season! Wink

St.Pauli to spectacularly finish mid-table Smile
