I have trouble watching the matches on fcstpauli.tv. The video freezes up but the audio is fine. I am in the US and I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Does anyone know how to fix this so I can watch the matches? |

I gave up on Flimmerkiste as the same kept on happening to me. I recommend BWIN - Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! |
You have to create an account and deposit £7 (around $14). You can then watch hundreds of live sports events from around the world, including all of St Pauli's games.
There's no commentary, which I found yesterday to be a relief. No more twatish comments from the likes of Mark Lawrenson, and if you turn the volume up loud you get a good taste of the atmosphere.
The screen's a little small, but if you right click on the screen, then click on settings you can adjust the size.
You can get the teams from Kicker Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! | and if you want additionl atmosphere listen to NDR 90,3 (the local radio station on Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! | ) at the same time.
Be warned - watching St Pauli live can be as much a frustration as a delight!! But I love it really. Amazing atmosphere. _________________ Der Junge von St. Pauli der hat die Welt geseh'n

Unfortunately, living in the US I cannot place a deposit in my account. The government here cannot get their taxes so online gambling is illegal. bwin.com respects the US government due to their investments in this country and won't allow me to make a deposit.
I did send them an e-mail explaining that all I want to do is watch football matches and not place any bets. Hopefully, there is a way for them to allow me to do that.
Thanks for the info and hopefully I will be watching ST Pauli soon. |

I just checked my e-mail and got a responds from bwin.com and basically, I'm out of luck. Because I live in the US I can't even register with them because they are respecting US laws. The US government can't control and get their taxes from online gambling so they just make it illegal.
I will keep searching the web to try and find a way to watch ST Pauli matches. |

You could contact the webmaster of the above website. It's for American St Pauli fans, though you may not have much luck as they recommend Flimmerkiste. I sent Flimmerkiste a stinking email, complaining about their crap service, and they sent me a shitty reply! As Corporal Jones said, they don't like it up 'em! _________________ Der Junge von St. Pauli der hat die Welt geseh'n

Pucks13,
I've been watching the filmerkiste the last season. There are times that I've had great feeds and times not. All in all, it gives me the opportunity to watch the games that are otherwise not available. You might be able to get something from a pirate feed using Sopcast or Tvants or another Internet streaming service.
Yea it sucks when you get a choppy feed and I'm not sure where the hang up is. I don't know that they can do anything about it because it isn't a torrent feed or other tool that would reduce their bandwidth load to improve the service. I guess you just need to decide if it is worth the cost. |

stpauliami,
Thanks for the info. I noticed before the season started the test video worked great and as it got closer to the season, it started to freeze up on me. Maybe I will try to find a time that it will come in good for me. I don't know if the amount of people using it at the same time has anything to do with it. I will look into Sopcast and Tvants.
Thanks to everyone for all the help and info. Hopefully, one of these will work and I will let you know. |

You could try to get a Bwin account by registering a non-USA credit card with them, or asking a friend or relative resident in a civilised country ( ) to set up an account on your behalf. I would guess that they also check IP addresses to prevent logins from US residents but I believe it's possible to bypass this by using a proxy server. As long as you never actually place a bet I think that even if you got caught by the "Feds" it would be tough for them to make a case against you. I hear the weather in Cuba is very pleasant at the moment in any case.....
Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! | has some useful info about using proxy servers.
I haven't used the Flimmerkiste service so I don't know how it works but if it plays via Media Player or similar software it can be worth playing about with the settings on your player. Try increasing the amount of data that is buffered - this can mean that it takes longer before it starts to play but should be smoother once it gets going. I've had some joy with this when watching other streamed video services. |

Unfortunately, they check your IP address. I checked that out with some computer people to see if I could fake out bwin. No go. It is all because the US government can't get their piece of the pie. Like they don't tax us enough. I thought they broke away from England and King George because of the taxes. Now they love to tax us. How ironic. Sorry I got off of the subject. I will try to play with my windows media player. It just SUCKS I can't watch a ST Pauli match.
I will succeed though. |

you could google "2 bundesliga live streams". There are all sorts of results - no idea how reliable they are though. Example -
MyP2P.eu :: Free Live Sports on your PC, Live Football, MLB, NBA ... Live football , Live MLB and NBA. Just for free tv on your pc. ... time for the English Premier League and German Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga to start. ...

You can listen to every game live on AFM radio, which you can get free of charge, by registering for Flimmerkiste. The commentary is in German - not much use if you can't understand it I know, but at least you'l get some of the atmosphere. German football terms - Only registered users can see links on this forum! I've just re-subscribed to Flimmerkiste, hoping for a miraculous improvement in picture quality. No such luck. I've just tried Flimmerkiste on another PC though and it worked very well . The other PC is much faster - 1gb RAM memory, whereas my laptop has only 512mb. Perhaps if the memory is increased to 1 or 2 gb Flimmerkiste will work on my PC. _________________ Der Junge von St. Pauli der hat die Welt geseh'n
