It is not clear when this game is going to get played in the weekend of the 26th of September. If anyone has any information or is informed at a later date could they please post the date up on the forum as it would help. Cheers.

Yeah I think they confirm fixtures in batches (Im still waiting for confirmation of when the 1860 Muenchen game in being played). They can't be that far off announcing now though. Either check on here (someone usually posts) or keep checking here...

Its in German but even if you don't speak the language the table is relatively easy to figure out.

About 6 weeks before (at the most), which doesn't give you much time to finalise arrangements - as I've found to my cost in the past!

If any of you are planning on going to Rostock, be aware that it's one of the worst.

Rostock has actually dealt with its right-wing followers to an extend that they are not overly present there anymore. at least in comparison to other clubs in the east that we played in the Regionalliga.

on the other hand, the first match against St.Pauli in a long time might attract the worst scum of the area. Should become quite an oldschool trip as many supporters who hardly travelled to away matches in the last 6 or 7 years announced to go there... there are rumours that there might be a Fanladen train.

It's been a few years since we had the pleasure of playing Rostock, so it'll be interesting to see if their fan scene has actually made the advances the club claims. There's certainly no love lost between the two clubs as far as the majority of supporters are concerned, but both clubs have called for restraint from them. We'll see. Confused

The Ultras had some banners up outside the ground for the 1860 game, calling for everyone to go to Rostock, so assuming all of them who can go will, there should be quite an atmosphere at the game. Hopefully the only kick-off will be the one at 6pm.

Relegated Rostock have their own injury problems, too, particularly at the back, and coach Pagelsdorf, in his 2nd session there and H$V coach for a while, admits that their back four don't have the necessary experience playing together. Sounds almost familiar. Laughing

Still, although the season start has been disappointing by their standards (won 1, drawn 3, lost 1), a point would be OK. They knocked Frankfurt out of the cup after extra time this week, which will give them a psychological boost, but may make itself felt as the game progresses.

On our side, Morena may be back and Trojan is apparently ready to play, but for how long? He's still shaking off the flu - I hope he spent a lot of time in bed this week.

I'm expecting nothing, so the only possible surprise is a pleasant one. Wink

As far as I know Rostock's fan scene has improved a lot but there's still a good chance that all of the scum that doesn't go regularly anymore shows up for this one. we'll see. actually, police didn't categorise this match as a "security" match... - can we please change our police against Rostock's? Rolling Eyes

btw: not liking Rostock is (or was) one of the few common things of St.Pauli and HSV supporters Cool

Sadly, I wont be able to go because of work, fecking annoying. But a good number is going, I think the special train is sold out plus many by regular trains, cars etc. and from other areas of Germany. We'll wait for them in the Jolly Roger Very Happy

Yes, that tends to be a problem when we play in the "Zone". All the knuckle-draggers who've never been to a match for ages, either because they can't be arsed or have been banned from any grounds they might want to visit turn up, with or without a ticket, in the hope of being able to strike a blow or six for the Fatherland. Rolling Eyes

Fingers crossed.

couldnt go myself because of work but talked to some in the Jolly Roger tonight. There might be up to 3 of us in hospital, but generally most got out of the "troubles" alright. some lacerations caused by bottled and stones. Police used water cannons to hold back Rostock "fans" - well, rather fascist scum....
let's wait for more reports when the everything has calmed down. dozens of pages written in the main St.Pauli forum.

back to sports: embarrassing performance. don't wanna talk about it - there was no match tonight...
