Gave mine its first outing today. Got a few funny looks (as I do most days anyway)m couple of people at work did ask about it though.
I think the scarf looks really good, and if any of you were waiting to see how it's pan out before coughing up for one - do so.

Scarf arrived yesterday. Didnt think the night was gonna get any better than FC's equaliser in about the 87th minute against Cammel Laird (having been 5-2 down at one stage), but it did. The scarf was waiting for me when I finally got home. It looks ace and will take pride of place on my wall. Thanks Nico for sorting it!

Ta,

Thanks Nico,

PayPal should be with you... along with a PM with details etc.

It's a great slogan, and know you debated it a while back. The only thing I'd add for my penny'worth, is that though it has to be "Die Inseln sind..." (given obviously Ireland and others), it was a better joke in German in the singular.

Maybe I'm wrong, but Bild Zeitung and others always call us (i.e. the UK) "Die Insel", generally when talking about some minor celebrity rumpus (the Queen or Prince Charles for example, actresses etc.), but not generally in the plural. Still it wouldn't be St. Pauli if we didn't have some heavy debate about it, and it's a great slogan, covering more of the many people on here.

Now I just need to get over there again - ******* to Germanwings and the end of their Hamburg service from Gatwick. Grumble.

Bum. Sorry to be late to the party, but are there any scarves left? I have somehow managed to miss all of this!

I do now have a box of them. Twenty, I believe, though I've not bothered counting them! They're rather good. Thank you, Nico4 for organising it all.

I'm planning to take a couple over for Olympiakos and Niklas later in the month, and I'll probably drop one off at the Fanladen (unless that's already been done), but other than that I'll have a few spares for those who didn't order originally.

John x

should we donate one to the zeitgeist, for them to put up in the pub, perhaps by all of us that go to the games chipping in with the cost of the scarf?

then it can be a proper koln/st pauli pub, after all the 2 are quite friendly.

as long as they don't think it will alienate the HSV, Mainz, etc fans

NB - for non Londoners - the pub is owned by Koln fans.

If it has not been done by the time I can make it in for a game, I will donate one of the ones which I ordered.
