Perfectly put Zim. I'm sat on a train to Munich and I still can't believe we lost. Augsburg are total dross, but we let them back in by defending like total imbeciles. We dominated the game for long periods but didn't make it count, and paid the price by being lazy. Hoillet was our best player, never afraid to take the full back on and put the ball in the danger area. He also hit the post after a solo run. At 2-2 Stani took him off to settle for the draw rather than try and win it. Nice move.
There ends my thoughts on the game (with bad language omitted to save server space). |

Not able to add to what Lee has said, just a mere 10 minutes away from seeing my first ever away win in six years and then..the Sunday league defending comes into force. _________________ He didn't go round nowhere, i just sent him round ! |

another night spent in front of the computer only to crawl into bed around 3 am and to have nightmares of free kicks, questionable decisions in regards to subbing players and allowing a crappy looking opposition to score three goals... needless to say, the day of work ahead of me might kill me... or I might kill someone.... |

I know there is some debate over the free kick that led to the winner, but ref's *always* give those sort of decisions (sometimes to the defender, but mostly to the attacker).
With a minute left and no chance of winning the header, the striker is going to back in and make it look like he's been fouled, either way the defender (Gunesch?) should've known better – anythng but concede a free-kick that is going to put us under pressure and give the opposition one last throw of the dice.
The wall was, well, shocking.
Thing is, you felt it coming. We were awful at the back.
Oh well.
Maybe our scarves will turn up soon |

Silly free kick, disintegrating wall but....
....for me Hain is very poor. Not just today either. Based on other games I've seen this season how is he better than Paddy Borger? The clanger for the third was a shocker but I also thought that he could have saved Augsburg's second.
Maybe I'm being harsh but the Bwin screen is fairly fuzzy in my defence! _________________ Lost your love of life? TOO MUCH APPLE PIE! |

Hoillet should have stayed on the park as he had their defenders sh*ting themselves everytime he got the ball.Attack is the best form defence.
I was just in the door at home and was convinced they had drawn 2-2 ,then the wife tells me we were beaten 3-2.I thought she is pulling my leg so I waited for the Highlights on DSF.The wife and dog had to leave the room and the house has to be blessed on Thursday ... _________________ Sophie & Hans Scholl,Christian Probst

Will we ever win away from home? I'm concerned that our away form will put pressure on us at home as we have to keep winning at the Millentor.
What about the Hansa Rostock Koblenz score. Koblenz beat Kaiserslautern 5-0 last week then manage to lose 9-0 this week. "Its a funny old game, Saint" _________________ freedom without Socialism is privilege and injustice... Socialism without freedom is slavery and brutality |

Koblenz were blessed their keeper had a good day as he pulled off some fine saves. His defenders should hang their heads in shame as they gave him no cover ...... _________________ Sophie & Hans Scholl,Christian Probst

I nearly made a comment along the lines of "at least Hain is pretty solid" with a couple of minutes to go yesterday. I was very glad I hadn't when that free kick went in. Despite that I still have more confidence in him than I did in Borger or Pliquett last season. I don't think anybody would claim that he gets the protection he should be able to expect from his defence.
I can only echo what others have said - how the hell did we not come away with at least a point?! We looked relatively comfortable for a lot of the game but didn't take our chances and as Augsburg's play got more urgent late on our defence started to completely lose the head.
It had all been looking so rosey 40 minutes or so earlier. The Murrayfield Bar was full of Hearts fans for the Edinburgh derby which kicked off at 2. Hibs scored within a minute or two of the game starting much to my amusement, which of course I kept to myself. The pub was in stunned silence for about 10 seconds, until Ebbers opened the scoring for St Pauli and the one table that was watching the screen in the corner went mental. I must confess I may have over-egged the celebration slightly for the purposes of Jambo-baiting. |

Hain was very poor, more so for the third goal, but the defence seemed to be pretty shocking again. I've said already my concerns about away form. Couldnt beleive the hansa score - that should mean that st pauli will win 6-0 at home in a few weeks!!!! Funny old game. |
