That's enough adrenalin for today. Laughing

Nine points in eight days and we're now 4th! (5th if 1860 beat Lautern tomorrow) Shocked

I was in Block N3 (NordKurve Seats) and didn't see any trouble amongst the Nurnbergers....but to be fair I did leave smartish at the end of the match.

Another excellent result. If we can keep our form going up to the Winter break then we can look forward to the New Year with confidence. Lets hope Duisburg wasnt a flash in the away pan.

Just watched the highlights... how good is Trojan? Great run and cross for the own goal.

Not sure that Boll was offside for is 'goal', as the ball came back off a defender, although to be fair to the lino, it looked like someone was offside when the original freekick came in.

Was Hain lucky to get away with one that looked (from a rubbish camera angle) that it could easily have been over the line?

Never seen anyone go through an advertising hoarding quite like Ludwig (hope Norbert got a photo!)

Finally, nasty stamp by their number 11, deserved his red.

Trojan is a Managers dream as a Captain,he never stops running and caused a lot of problems for Nurnberg.Hennings needs to compose himself more as he seems to want to score a wonder goal rather than take his time.Sub Hoilett old head on young shoulders, everytime he kept the ball on the ground and never gave the ball away to cheaply.

Kala was brilliant also,

This has got to be the best performance so far for me as Nurnberg matched our boys for the 1st half but as the game went on you could see the mini battles being won by St Pauli.

Seen Nurnberg fans in the stand as well as the alloted area for away supporters and THREE Security Officers between them and the St Pauli fans. Not a sign of trouble or exchange of abusive language.St Pauli Fans take a bow.

4th in the League, Dare we dream?

I missed the "goal" on DSF, but a friend of mine texted me that it looked like a regular one on the telly.

Hain showed all his skills soon after - first with a really good reflex and right in the next second by securing it just before the ball got in.

Concerning the Nürnberg supporters: most of them are definitely good folks, but there seemed to be some trouble makers among them. The night before the match, some HSV hooligans from the pub Tankstelle (an absolute no-go area for anyone St.Pauli, Celtic or in other ways recognisable as being sympathetic towards St.Pauli) attacked the Onkel Otto at the Hafenstraße. There were rumours that some from Nürnberg joined them and the Jolly was guarded. Before the match, you could see USP and others keeping an eye on different streets, but everything was calm.
I couldn't see what caused the trouble right after the end of the match when most of the Nürnberg supporters had already left their section. But security arrested 2 or 3 from Nürnberg and Sako was very upset again. Didn't check the St.Pauli forum yet.
I am really pissed off by such trouble - nothing against a bit of rivalry, but it looks like kindergarden games of bored idiots far too often. And St.Pauli supporters are not always angels in this regard, but nice to see some Nürnberg supporters in the Jolly Roger after the match and they got their hymn played.

anyway, it's most important that we gained 3 points and won't feel any pressure in Freiburg. Freiburg lost the last two games (0:4 today!!), so they will be motivated but not very self-confident. A good chance to take away at least 1 more point.
