Carsten Rothenbach just extended his contract to 2012. |
Schultz did so before him (2010 + option). _________________ Irish Folk&Rebel from St.Pauli:

I love it - Never thought that that would happen!
I think it actually shows that players nowadays see their opportunities in staying with us. they can either develop further in an unique but success-orientated environment or achieve their dreams of 1. Bundesliga and championships with us .
If Trojan signs too in the next few days or weeks, we already have our most important players locked for the next couple of seasons (or at least get the transfer money) |

I would be very pleasantly surprised if we kept Trojan, but I can't see it. _________________ We managed to score against Trinidad and Tobago. One better than Sweden. |

I'd love to be wrong, but I wouldn't bet on Trojan. |
i wouldn't either to be honest but I see a chance that he is staying. hope he's realising that the role that he has with us is more rewarding (not financially I agree) than being a second option in some end-of-the-lot club in Bundesliga 1. |

I wouldn't be too pessimistic. We are not the beggars of the league anymore. We'll have a decent 2nd league budget next year. Trojan would only stand a chance to play regularly (meaning getting bonus payments) in the 1st if he'd go to a very minor team. _________________ Irish Folk&Rebel from St.Pauli:

Trojan said after the Wiesbaden game that he wanted to play in the 1 Bundesliga. It will be interesting to see if any of the teams want him. He's a fine player, but once you've got groin problems, you tend to get re-injured on a regular basis (as I know personally only too well). _________________ Der Junge von St. Pauli der hat die Welt geseh'n
