I love The Colourfield album. It's a shame that it is still unreleased on CD in England. But I did manage to pick up it on CD from Amazon in Japan the other year.

Talking of The Colourfield, here's a few of their videos and some other Terry Hall songs.

Yeah I managed to get it on import ages ago (15+ years Confused) from a feckin' top record shop called record peddler here in Manchester it cost me £20, a couple of years ago i picked up a copy for my brother for £3 from vinyl exchange ah well it was well worth the money. Never seen Deception on CD ever which is a shame..

I met Terry Hall going into the Manchester Derby last year (3-1 Very Happy )
we spoke for a good 5-10 minutes, & he was a blody nice bloke

I got Deception on CD a few months back off ebay. It's not as good as the debut album.

The Clash - The Clash
The Clash - London Calling
Ramones - Ramones
Johnny Thunders - LAMF
Social Distortion - Social Distortion
The Men They Couldn't Hang - Waiting For Bonaparte
The Pogues - Rum, Sodomy & The Lash
The Undertones - The Undertones
Stiff Little Fingers- Inflammable Material
Joe Strummer - Streetcore

This was really tough, which Ramones album, could I fit the NY Dolls in, Social Distortion - Live At The Roxy (Best Live album) Surely there should be a place for Johnny Cash, what about the Damned (Machine Gun Etequette) and finally what about a spot for Victoria Beckham, no only joking, honest.

Top 50 would have been a bit easier!

No doubt showing my age here but here goes:-

"Our Mother The Mountain" Townes Van Zandt
"Astral Weeks" Van Morrison
"Music From Big Pink" The Band
"My Aim Is True" Elvis Costello
"Highway 61 Revisited" Bob Dylan
"The Queen Is Dead" The Smiths

"King Of The Surf Guitar" Dick Dale
"Bluejean Bop" Gene Vincent and the Bluecaps

Good to see there's some excellent stuff in these lists - not surprising I guess, though thought there'd be more hardcore punk (and less C86) based on the atmosphere wandering up past the Clubheim...

More Mancunians and other northern types, though I remember the Redskins too! - got a couple of singles somewhere, and remember seeing them at the Poly in Leeds (1985?) supporting Billy Bragg...

"Entertainment" - Gang Of Four
"Complete Peel Sessions" - The Fall
"Unknown Pleasures" - Joy Division (another vote!)
"Lubricate Your Living Room" Fire Engines + their singles
"Nine Times That Same Song" Love Is All
"Slanted and Enchanted" - Pavement
"Doolittle" - Pixies
"Live 1969" - Velvet Underground
"Symphony of Sorrowful Songs" - Gorecki (bit quieter)
"IBM 1401 User Manual" - Johann Johannsson (at the mo, see Gorecki)
