Here goes, not 10 albums but fave songs in no order;
T-Rex "Solid Gold Easy Action" (got the pre-pubescent juices going)
The Clash "White Man (In Hammersmith Palais) (Complete Control came close)
Ramones "Pinhead" (Gabba Gabba Hey!)
Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers "Chinese Rocks" (best rock 'n' roll song ever)
The Stooges "Search and Destroy" (dirty slab)
The Birthday Party "Sonny's Burning" (nihilism at it's peak)
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds "Mercy Seat" (fire and brimstone never sounded so good)
The Slits "Love and Romance" (both the Peel Session version and the "Cut" version)
Johnny Cash "Hurt" (i cry buckets every time)
The Gun Club "Ghost on the Highway" (voodooswampblooze)

I've just realised that nearly every band has at least one dead member

Some great albums listed there. Over the years I've seen The Prisoners, Squire, Billy Bragg, The Chords, Purple Hearts and Secret Affair (well, Ian Page). My band even featured on last years Squire tribute album 'The Young Idea'. Have heard that the Purple Hearts are back together now or at least rehearsing for a few gigs.

Had forgotten about a couple of those bands
but The Rezillos/Revillos with Fay Fife etc are classic.
will post my top ten soon but have just got it down to 20 at the moment.
funny seeing a recurrence of Albums, Bands and genre's on the lists above.
sad to say most of my favourites are LPs we had during the punk late 70s early 80s era but my older brother took them all when he left home (he bought most of them).
first single was Siouxsie and the Banshees, Hong Kong garden
first album was the Skids, scared to dance
will get back for my top 10

Yes t was leaked by the barmaid at Terry Rawling's pub that the Purple Hearts had arranged a few rehearsals with a view to reforming. Have been lucky enough to see all those bands live but The Prisoners must be the best live.

I am off to see Secret Affair on Sat 13th at the Astoria which should be a storming gig. Saw the Pistols last night at Hammersmith Apollo. Good gig.

Who are your band? Are they a Mod influenced group?

Cheers for sending the links.I have that Shake Compilation - will give it a listen

Thee Strawberry Mind sound good - Currently getting quite into the current garage stuff. Have been going up The Dirty Water Club in London on an occasional basis. Have Saw Graham Day, Len Price 3 recently and also the Boonaraaas last year.

I see you are a Redskins fan. One of my best all time gigs was The Redskins at The Calais Palais in Edinburgh during the Miners Strike. They did a benefit gig. Fantastic live. Would be in my top 10 gigs - (i feel another list coming on)
