Last time I was over they were drinking red wine and coke, so try that it might be what it was.

Korn is the cheap clear spirit that can be found in the Aldis and Pennymarkts. It should be drunken neat in cold thimble glasses. It will indeed make you hurt. Wink

I've never seen it over here, not even in the specialist shops in the west end. Try coke and Jagermiester as an alternative. It was the drink of choice to get wiped out on for various american rockers for a while...

Red wine and Coke is a Catalan thing. The drink of choice before going to see Barca. Cool

Korn falls into the general "Schnapps" category, and it's usually about 20% ABV, unless it's "Doppelkorn", which is double that.

I prefer Apfelkorn - it may be naff, but at €3 a bottle I'm not bothered. A decent slug of Apfelkorn before going to bed, and you will sleep soundly and wake refreshed. That's my theory, anyway. Twisted Evil

It tastes of apples and is as sweet as the 2-1 win against Bayern on 6th Feb 2002. Laughing

Probably - there's a "sour" version, too.
