Disappointing for you today I guess, you matched Fleetwood Town through out and they aren't a bad side either at present so no disgrace there, you gave them their biggest gate for years 3,100 ish? I think and the atmosphere created was great all credit to FCUM. Only downside was the incident or two before kick-off when your keeper was hit on the head by what looked like bottles thrown by someone in the Fleetwood end, if I'd been the ref I would not have brought the players back out, but to cancel the game with so many fans in a small ground would have been asking for more bother outside so he probably made the right decision. Enjoyed it though, picked up a copy of the zine Under The Boardwalk. St. Pauli 3 Kickers Offenbach 1 last night so I'm sure you can still smile even after today. cheers |

can i recomend you get hold of the rob brady book"an undividable glow" all about our first season.
if you ever get yourself to gigg lane for a game give me a shout on here. |

have been in discussion on the FCUM board this week and there seems a divide over those who see it as a club set up just so disgruntled MUFC fans have a cheap club to go to on a saturday and those of a more political leaning who want to continue the policitical line and push /promote the club as being a radcial venture ala st pauli... dare i suggest a meeting/drink for those interested in getting an FCUM antifa ultra presence?.... |

what's on the agenda? As you know, I'm from the 'political wing' of the club |

Can it not be both?
I went along to last week's home fixture (having finished work too late to get to Bury's away game at Macclesfield). This was my second visit to an FCUM game and I think the atmosphere is certainly enhanced by the fact that, unlike at Bury games, the stewards allow spectators to remain standing throughout.
Just one query......
Why does the official FCUM website have a link to H$V but not one to St Pauli? |

good points there mr shakers!
on another note, there has been a debate lately among fc fans about the viability of us staying at gigg.id love to stay at your place until our dream of a stadium in manchester is realised.umfortunatly that might not be the case due to the rent we pay bury.but according to burys finachial report our cash is/was very important to the clubs survival.which if this is the case surely puts us in a better positon to negotiagate a lower price, you needing us more than we need you??or,as i see it at the moment do we both need each other, for the short term at least? _________________ so houst up the john b sail

Yes, you're right, the money certainly comes in handy from our point of view. As you say, especially as you draw as many (if not more) than we do, I'd agree you're certainly in a good negotiating position. I notice you still play the odd fixture at Radcliffe Borough's ground too.
That said, I can fully understand the desire to have a home ground in Manchester itself. I know it's a constant source of ribbing from City fans that Old Trafford is outside the city (though of course Newton Heath was certainly within it).
Any answer to my other query re the H$V link? I'm not having a dig, just curious. |

ive no idea im afraid!
it may be that theve only listed clubs that are run like in a supporters trust kind of way,ie telford, barcalona ect(wernt stockport county in there too?) is st pauli actually run on that sort of basis? _________________ so houst up the john b sail

I believe the HSV link is down to them being fan owned. Thats why there are links to Franco Madrid, Athletic Bilbao, Barcelona, Stockport etc too, not to mention the rather controversial Leipzig. _________________ Geschunden durch den (Hamburg) Sport Verein....Samstag ist Selbsmord |

well, more or less EVERY German club is...when you become a member you have a democratic vote in things concerning the club. That's the case with St. Pauli, HSV, any club, really _________________
