Went to see Mogwai last night as you may know and am off to Belle and Sabastian on Feb 10th at Hammersmith Appollo and Stereolab on 14 April at koko with more to follow I hope. Has anyone been to that new venue in Kilburn opposite the National I hear it's great. I'm a bit of a venue ticker as well....

I was at Belle & Sebastian too on sunday. Thoroughly enjoyed myself despite the problems they were having getting a keyboard to do its stuff.

What a small world.

New B&S album dropped through my letter box this morning. Very good as always as I'm sat here listening while typing.

yeah, they are getting more cheerful with every album, don't you think so?

went to the gig yesterday (despite being poorly and ODing on Sudafed and paracetamol) and it was brill. My first gig at the Apollo in Hammersmith and what a gorgeous venue it is!

They opened with The State I'm in and finished with Sleep the Clock around and played quite a lot of stuff from the new album

My live favourite will always be Judy and the Dream of Horses, though...they did a 10-minute version of it last time I saw them in Hamburg two years ago and I didn't get off my cloud of happiness for a week after that Very Happy

Went to watch Editors at Manchester Academy last night. Bloody marvellous. Tom Smith has a much more powerful voice than I could ever have imagined and surprised me with how expressive and lively on stage he was. Two new songs as a bonus, one of which 'Bones' was rather good!

Top show.

Highlights: 'Munich' and 'Fingers in the factory'. A triumphant finale!

Kowalski: Blood runs through your veins, that's where our similarity ends

Going to see The Automatic at Central station Wrexham tonight. Lucky Wrexham have a home game today as it's an early gig, finishing at 9.30.
Heard good and bad things about them but being as they're playing local I thought I'd give them a go!
