hey just need a little advice from the vetrans out there! Has anyone been to a away game there? Im planning to go to arsenal fenabachi away. Havnt booked my flight or hotel so should I stay on the euro or aisian side? if Im on the euro side will it be difficult getting to the stadium? places to avoid? Im going on my own so I really want to work out what im doing before I go (turkey is not exacly a place to 'play by ear') thanks in advance

As far as I know Fenerbache is on the Asian side and Besiktas and Galatasary are on the European side (along with everything else worth seeing or doing!). Use the ferry to cross over the Bosphorus from the European side.
When we played Fenerbache in the EUFA cup a couple of seasons ago we got on great with their fans. I didn't go over but a couple of my brother's mates did and they enjoyed it. I gather that you're ok provided that your support for your team is positive and DOES NOT INVOLVE BEING NEGATIVE about Turkey or Fenerbache. As anywhere avoid the opposition ultras and the police (who can be particularly nasty to foreign 'hooligans'). You should be ok. Enjoy.
