Hello, I'm an AFC Wimbledon fan and am going to this one with a Liverpool mate. Never been before though so any tips on where to go or anything would be greatly appreciated. Can't wait to go but no idea what to expect, only been told to go to a place called the Jolly Rodger + my German isnt that great!

There are four Port Vale fans travelling to this game also, two of them London based.
If you see a chunky punk, older skinhead and floppy haired indie kid, its us.

We use to come down to Selhurst Park for all the Fans United days. Still refuse to go to Franchise FC : )

Will look out for you then, I'l have an afcw scarf for a little bit, someone said I should hand it over at a pub somewhere where they collect them. Glad to hear that others still keeping up the fight against franchising, remember a good turnout on that fans united day which was much appreciated. If you see two pissed/confused english people in 20s will be us! Couldn't get hold of terrace tickets but should be fun anyway, where you heading before match?

The St Pauli Treff very close to the ground.

Plenty of decent pubs etc close to the ground, you will soon bump into them. Definately visit the Fanladen before the game and it is also worth joining the march back to the Fanladen after the game. Expect a wild night they certainly know how to party. I will be flying in on Thursday morning and unfortunately going back on Friday, most probably our paths will cross at some stage of the day.

You heading for the Treff, tim? Might see you there. Very Happy

Didn't expect that many replies, thanks for the advice. Sounds like will have to go to the fanlanden. What sort of time would everything get going around the ground? Am spending a few days in Hamburg, flying Thursday morning from Stansted to Lubeck.

You have to call into the Fanladen, they'll help with any questions you've got.

Didn't find the Treff last time we were out but will make sure we do next time.

Have a great time. Here's hoping you've got a win to celebrate.

Is it bad manners to wear a Vale shirt to the game?

I bought a Vale scarf last time I was up to pin up in some pub or maybe the Fanladen

Head for the main road (Budapester Strasse) behind the South, cross over at the traffic lights and you should find yourself at the north end of Detlev-Bremer Strasse. Walk down about 150 yards and the Treff is on the left. If you bump into a Postbank, you're pissed and you've gone too far. Razz

A H$V shirt would perhaps cause some problems. A Vale shirt would only result in some questions, and maybe get you offered some beer (or other drugs). Laughing

Well that certainly was an experience! Definitely planning another trip there in the near future. Wonder if the megaphones and that aufstehen thing would ever catch on over here?
