There's going to be quite a few of us over for the Freiberg game this weekend, and as I'm a keen follower of Pompey I'm sure you'll realise this was bad planning (well more a surprise at getting this far) as we're playing in the FA Cup Semi Final on Saturday.

I have asked Olympiakos to see if the St Pauli Treff will be showing it, but if he's not able to help us out could any of you more local people be able to suggest anywhere that would be showing it (other than that bloody Irish bar and 'The London Pub' - both of which we'd rather avoid!!) It's a 12.15 Kick Off (1.15 German time).

Anyone in the area on the Saturday is more than welcome to join us - wherever we end up!!

We'll hopefully see you Saturday (in the treff!!) but failing that we'll see you Sunday - in the Treff of course!!

Have Fun,

Urbs

UUUUURRRRRBBBSSSSS!!!!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I had a look, and the game's on (Scheiss-)DSF. I've no idea if the Treff will be showing it, but I could drop in tomorrow - I'm heading that way anyway - and ask if they are/would.

See you Sunday after the Freiburg game. Wink

ZZZZZZZZZZZIIIIIIIIIIIMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!

Cheers!

As I'm sure you'll remember I like a drink, so just let the landlord know that there will be atleast 7 very thirst excitable Pompey fans wanting to spend their hard earnt Euros watching football!! And we'll need a few drinks to either celebrate or commiserate afterwards - so I'm sure it would be worth his while!

First choice between those who had been to Hamburg before was to see if the Treff would show it, because we've had so many good times in there! We'd probably even brin a scarf for the bar and we wouldn't even expect any chees and sausage in return!!

If they're showing it and you're around then head down on the Saturday - failing that we'll definitely see you in there after the game on Sunday!

Have Fun,

Urbs

Cardiff are in the other semi - just after St Pauli play Freiburg. Don't know where they might show either semi though. McLeans, the HSV/Rangers pub may well show the Portsmouth -WBA game - if you go there though don't wear St Pauli colours. Rangers are playing Sunday, so they won't be showing the Cardiff game.

Finnegan's Wake, nr the Rathaus, shows English games, so that may be better.

Anyway Cardiff have just roughed up West Brom for you tonight. Best of luck on Saturday!

Finnegan's Wake = "that bloody awful Irish Bar" mentioned in my original e-mail!

By the sounds of it the Treff might be showing it, failing that we're going to chat up the barmaids at Max's (which we would have done anyway) and see if they will be able to show it in their backroom!

At least most of the pubs will be emptier than compared to the Sunday when trying to get the Cardiff v Barnsley game shown !! If you're around you're more than welcome to join us! IF we make it to the final, we'll be cheering your boys along, if only for that safety net of being able to lose the FA Cup and still qualify for Europe, what with you all being foreigners and what not!!

Was hoping to see a few injuries / red cards for the Baggies tonight, but I'll just make do with seeing Sheff Weds get a late late equaliser to send that team from down the road into the bottom 3! Oh what a year this could be!!

Have Fun,

Urbs

Alright mate,

Simple solution - The Shamrock on Feldstrasse right opposite the ground. Despite the name, more of an international bar with mainly English & Irish clientelle ex-pats who all think Finnegans is 'a bloody awful pub'.

Nice and cosy with football on the TV and big screen (often overheating) in the back. I have foresaken my Pauli ticket for the Freiburg game to watch the Boro v Man U game on Sky....and no, I am not a Man U fan!

I am pretty sure they will have the Pompey game on also, especially as one of the locals is 'Pompey Chris' who works at Airbus and it the size of an A320!

Cheers

I've only been there once, asked for an Astra and five minutes later called the barmaid over and asked where's my Astra, she looks at me like I'm daft (good judge of character) points at the ashtray and says there it is.

I asked at the Treff. They open at 1pm on Saturday, so that should be no problem. You'll just have to persuade them to move the darts machine out of the way. Smile

Babel fish says I should say...

"Excuse me Art Barkeeper, aber meine Freunde, und ich würde es sehr schätzen, wenn Sie sich nicht bewegen Geist der Dart aus der Nähe von Ihrem großen Bildschirm, so können wir beobachten, dass der Verein aus England Fußballspiel zwischen Portsmouth und der baggies?"

Although having translated it back again, I don't know why it came up with 'spirit of darts'??

1pm doesn't give us much pre-match build up!!

So, we'll either be in The Treff from 1, Shamrock from 12.30 (cheers Mogwai!) or Max's from breakfast!

Have Fun,

Urbs
