My mate Glen, in partnership with a couple of other bods, (one of whom, Dave Porter, previously ran Porter's brewery of Rossendale), has just launched a brewery.
I've so far sampled the pilsner and the Amber Bock and both these (but then I'm slightly biased) certainly live up to the Outstanding name.

Porter - good name for a brewer. Sounds good - hope they're successful.
If you're ever in the West Country I'd recommend Station Porter and Mr Perrett's Stout - beautiful dark beers.

Brief update (and unashamed plug) on Outstanding.
The Blonde and Ginger are both now available at Weatherspoons' Sir Robert Peel in Bury.

They're also brewing an 'exclusive' for The Trackside called (dodgy play on words regading steem engines) 'Piston Broke.'

Also, for any interested vegans, they don't uses 'finings' (fish-scales) in the process.
