It's not too far and the Fanladen will certainly run a coach or two to the game.
If you contact Heiko I'm sure he can book you a seat. Check the Fanladen Forum for his email address.

Hi,
a St. Pauli fan but from Germany and now living in Newcastle...I'm planning to watch FCUM playing Newcastle Blue Star on Sat next week together with three friends of mine.
Would be great to meet up with some St. Pauli supporters at the game!
Is there a certain area/stand of the stadium where most FCUM/St.Pauli fans meet?
Cheers _________________ We'll never be what they want us to be like! |

Hiya (or should that be Moin!)
I'll be up at the match on Saturday if you are still going. There isnt an area where the St Pauli fans get together at FCUM and many of them I only know through spotting a lapel badge and striking up a conversation. Therefore I can't promise a massive get together. Would be great to meet up though (not least so I can jabber on in German to you!). Are you going in the Newcastle End or are you coming in with FC? Also what time are you getting down?
On a side note, as Mr J Deacon mentioned, you definitely should come to the return leg. Its up by the big Tescos on the way to the airport in Newcastle (where the rugby team play). Cracking terrace on it and hopefully should be a great day out.

unfortunatley couldn't get the Paderborn away game but had a good mooch around St Pauli and the ground itself (literally stayed within spitting distance of the ground just facing the Dom)
Well impressed fella's - just what we need in Manchester for FC (albeit on a smaller scale)
Good luck for the season and hopefully i'll get a game in along with some of the FCUM boys in the very near future. |

Thanks Ed.
Yes, Knilly seemed to turn it round completely.
There's a general air of optimism round this 'neck o' the woods' at the moment; then consensus being that if he could do that with a squad he (for the most part) inherited, surely he'd do even greater things with his own. (He's apparently been mooted in some quarters as a future Welsh national coach btw).
We've managed to hold onto top goal-scorer Andy Bishop (which was unexpected - though possibly down to knee injuries meaning he'd struggle to pass a pre-transfer fitness test).
Sad to see Efe Sodje (who was probably more instrumental in the recovery than any other player) depart back to Gilllingham (cue chorus of the wartime morale-booster "Yes, we have no bandanas!")
Another impressive loan signing was Elliott Bennett from Wolves; phenominal pace and definitley a player to watch out for. |

Well in these lean times the loan players idea seems to work well (obviously when combined with a good manager), as Rebel Bull will no doubt testify. I would NEVER have predicted Hereford's promotion at the start of this season.
Quality song btw. _________________ Geschunden durch den (Hamburg) Sport Verein....Samstag ist Selbsmord |

Maybe there should be an area where the FCUM/St Pauli fans stand? how about we get some skull and crossbones/St Pauli flags on the go? |
On the few occasions I've been along to FCUM games, (I don't get to many 'distant' Bury away games these days and there are even more 'distant' ones this season with the new league 2 line-up including the likes of Bournemouth, Gillingham and Exeter), I have seen at least one St Pauli flag on display. It seems to be in the 'closed off' area of the ground though. |
