If its St Domingo Church you are refering to with regards to Evertons history the Church was Methodist not Catholic.

I am just guessing but your comments are obviously a wind up.

Two seasons ago I went to see Man City v Charlton on Good Friday, as I'm doing the 92 and I rarely get a chance to visit premiership grounds with Cardiff. Also, if someday we do get promoted I could go watch a lower league team on the day we play Man City - thinking ahead, maybe too far :p.

Anyway, at half time I got into a chat with a Man City fan from North of Ireland and he said that he flies to Manchester for every home game, but then went on to say that he preferred COM stadium to Maine Road as the area that Maine Road was in was full of - I can't bring myself to use the words he used. I immediately walked back to my seat in disbilief.

It was close to the Away end and in the upper tier and I can only imagine that it's this wanker's.

I think we could go round in circles forever on this one but as anti-fascists we have to ask ourselves a couple of questions when things like that happen...Is it just one individual twat that we can't really do much about or does this represent a worrying trend at a particular club?

With the notable exception of a few obvious clubs, I don't really think historical origins really have too much relevance on the fan culture of modern clubs.

Hibs for example are not an overtly Irish Catholic club despite Irish having roots.

Fair point Ross, but the worrying aspect for me is that this 'one individual twat' is tolerated.

I'm sure the vast majority of Man City fans would be appalled by this eejit. But a lot of people just don't want to get involved or don't want any hassle. Believe me I know.
I would have thought City would be an ok club to support though.
