Fanräume – Room For Fans
The Project
More space for supporters - this is the aim of the Fanräume ("fan rooms") project. We want to create a space for all the institutions that the supporters of FC St. Pauli are part of, or that are of benefit to them. And we want this space to be in the new stadium. As FC St.Pauli does not have the funds to provide enough facilities in the planned new Gegengerade stand we fans have to take care of the finances. We need to collect at least 400,000 Euro in the next four years.
The following organisations joined forces to make the dream come true and will be accommodated in the new facilities:
The Fanladen, the independent social project for FC St.Pauli supporters
AFM, the supporters’ section of the FC St.Pauli
Fanräume e.V.
Gone will be the days when you had to walk for ages to get to the Fanladen. Short distances and proximity will create a better network. We want to give all fan groups the opportunity to get together, to improve communication and understanding.
Fanräume doesn't just want to be there for the institutions we already know. It will be open to all supporters, members and friends of FC St. Pauli. Fanräume wants to create a space for you and inspire your ideas, campaigns and your commitment. It will not cater for one group in particular, instead, it wants to be the meeting point for all the people that make up FC St. Pauli.
The icing on the cake will be a second-to-none archive of media about football and its supporters. The focus will be on books, but we will also build up a library of DVDs and magazines that will be catalogued and available to visitors.
In order for this project to come about, we will need to raise €400,000. To remain informed about campaigns and events that will help us with this and to stay up-to-date about the funds we have raised so far, visit:

FAQ
How is the AFM involved in this project?
The board and the AGM of the AFM agreed to rent rooms from Fanräume. An agreement has been drafted and includes an advance payment of the rent.
Shouldn't FC St. Pauli fund this?
No. Neither is the club legally obligated to do this nor can they supply the funds from their budget. It’s important for the independence of the supporters from the club.
What are the fundraising activities for Fanräume?
Fanräume is always open to new suggestions. So far the following activities are taking place:
Parties - mostly in St.Pauli but some in different parts of Germany and even outside Germany (so far one in London, more to come)
Merchandise – T-shirts, jackets, key rings, pins, calendars, … you name it. Available at the Fanladen or by email order
Förderwand / Donor’s Wall – a huge wall in the central hall will be full of tiles – and you can decide what will be on them! Buy a tile, hand in a picture or a drawing and it will be printed on a 10 x 10 cm tile. While the wall is not reality you can see your tile(s) on the virtual wall on our website
Fanräume Magazine – Fanräume produces a magazine every second week during the football season. Portraits of supporters clubs and interviews with players, news about Fanräume activities, a big poster – all of that and more for just 50 Cents per issue
