On Sunday, December 6th, 2009 NYC's FC St. Pauli supporter's club, the East River Pirates, present a benefit for Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli, Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! | .
Benjamin Adrion and St. Pauli, the cult soccer sensation from Hamburg, Germany, created Viva con Agua to give people access to clean drinking water worldwide. As part of Viva con Agua's global WaterDays 2009, watch St. Pauli's away game against TUS Koblenz (tape delayed) and rock out with All Torn Up and special guests.
We're having a silent auction with an autographed tour shirt from Art Brut, an FC St. Pauli jersey, Tapete Records' "We Love St. Pauli" compilation cd and companion t-shirt, RB New York jersey, and much, much more!
Festivities and match viewing get underway at 6pm at East River Bar, 97 S 6th St (between Berry St and Bedford Ave, by the Williamsburg Bridge), Brooklyn, NY 11211. Easy to get to on the "L" train.
Free event. Donations for Viva con Agua accepted. 21+ New York ist braun-weiß!

Fährst du nach New York?
New York ist braun-weiß!

It was a good time, we raised around $500 I believe, still waiting on the final count and such. I was trying to hold out posting a review of the night until we got some pictures, but no one has uploaded them yet, probably because we're all still hung over
All I have to say is this: If you ever hold a type of event and get sponsorship from a rum manufacturer, (sidenote: Thank you to Sailor Jerry for providing a couple of bottles of free rum Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! | particularly if said rum is 92 proof, please auction the rum off instead of letting people drink it... I had quite a few more shots of rum than I was intending to...
Also thanks go to:
Brooklyn Brewery - (http://www.brooklynbrewery.com/)
If you're ever doing a holiday in New York, be sure to take a tour of this place. At the end, all the beer you can drink, I've heard good things. They provided us with a couple free tours.
Red Bull New York - Provided a team autographed ball, also thanks to Ernst Oebster for providing an autographed Jersey.
FC St Pauli - For their team autographed Jersey. Oddly enough, it was this year's outfield player kit, with Matthias Hain's name and number on it... It's got to be some type of rare collectable, eh?
Music bands Art Brut and The Wakes for providing T-shirts, as well as thanks to All Torn Up (http://www.myspace.com/atunyc) and Rabbi Darkside (http://www.myspace.com/rabbiraps) for playing live.
I'd also like to thank the other members of our little viewing club for all the work that went into our recent projects, this event and the song done by above mentioned artists, which will hopefully leak out soon. _________________

If you guys are going to be doing another benefit show, please let me know! I know some bands who would draw a crowd and would love to support your cause. Wish I had known about this though, definitely would have made it out and supported it. _________________ Make a fast deal with the local elite, then substitute cash-crops where once grew wheat. I think it's pretty safe to say that this type of event will become an annual thing, if not more often. We'll be sure to keep you aware. _________________
